Yup Marelli on mine. I had it rebuilt not too long ago. The problem was that
the starter would start but not stop...even when I disconnect the starter
solenoid! Had to be shut off by pulling the main battery wire to the starter
itself. I didn't like that.
I took it to a local guy and made sure I told him first that the starter was
for a Fiat. Then when I brought it to him I told him it was for a Loopframe.
He said that it was very similar and fixed it right up. No problems since
other than the hanging up issue.

Ok I just pulled the starter and did a loadtest and with no load the starter is pulling 52 Amps!!! which is well above the 25 it is spec'ed to pull. We all are talking about the Marelli starter?
