Exactly. The outer sheath must be loose enough to easily pull up 1/16 to
when the choke is off. Hard to tell with the air boots in place. Justslide
the air boot up the cable a bit so it is not in contact with the adjusteron
the carb. Now, just gently pull up on the cable. Better be some slack.NOT
Otherwise, the internal enrichening valve is partially held open. It is
a choke. It does NOT control air flow like the choke on a car. It is areally
bypass fuel valve adding lots of liquid fuel to the system. It is not
adjustable like a choke. It is either ON or OFF. Fuel flows or itdoesn't.
It only takes a little bit of space to add a lot of liquid fuel. If theyou
rubber seal at the bottom of the enrichener plunger does not seal tight,
will have a very rich mixture and it will do its worst at low rpm.
