Huh? Can't do that. Just because you lift the float by hand and it closes the fuel flow doesn't mean it is correct. You need to know that the fuel is stopped when the float is at its resting fluid position in the bowl. You need to MEASURE the float level versus the carb body. Has to be off the bike and held upside down for the measurement.
Any chance you have a bad float with a little leak so that it sinks a little as it warms up?
