Yeah...the fact that the bike starts and runs initially indicates that =
getting a good spark to the cylinders. Seems to me that his problems ar=e
with fouling after the initial start up. However I wouldn't rule out anrbs
intermittent ignition failure. Anything is possible till you find the
problem.

Disconnecting the plungers from the cable actuator and retilting the ca=
seems would be a quick way to check if that is the problem. Of course =I
think that you will need to pull up on the cable initially to be able t=o
start the bike.
Just give it a couple of twists of the grip and it should start without t=

Jeez, you guys go to extremes just to get some beer! Are loopframe
guys so poor that they can't afford $5 for a six-pack?
Anyways, I don't think Bob's problem is electrical. If the coil is
bad, then the left cylinder wouldn't fire along with the right, since
they both use the same coil. I recently had a problem with my T-3 (whi=
aduses 2 coils), where only the left cylinder would fire. I swapped the
wiring on the coils, and then only the right would fire. I thought I h=

The +12V wire was connected to one coil, and then another wire ran fro=
l,this terminal on the first coil to the +12V terminal on the second coi=
Ifand there was a poor connection in here, so the second coil never got
power.
I also don't think the distributor cap is bad for the same reason. =
ethe distributor cap had a short to ground, it would not affect only th=
eright cylinder.
I have to go with the choke or leaning carb theories. Can I get som=
