I tried all the tricks already suggested....bought tools...heat
......beer you name it. No Dice. The one good thing was that the pipes
were not seized to the nut, I moved the starboard pipe up as high as it
would go. I then ground of the plating on the nuts and the header pipes.
I silver soldered/brazed the nut to the pipe. I spoke a few magic words
and then started heaving on the pipe.Downwards on the starboard side. It
broke lose and I then cut the pipe leaving enough room for a pipe
wrench.
Extreme measures! I agree and resulting in new header pipes but then
mine were rusty so no loss. Much cheaper to put new pipes than chroming
old ones.
