I took mine off with a large pipe wrench when I first
took the bike apart (and now they have ugly teeth
marks in them!). If a large pipe wrench won't budge
'em, I don't think a spanner will either. You are, of
course, sure that you are turning them the right
direction? The orriginals are cromed brass, so there
is no chance that they are rusted in place.
