clutch replacement not hard. $50 for clutch plates is a trifle optimistic i
fear though. approx $105 for 3 plates in UK. don't think US prices any
cheaper, or are they?

buy the tool, not essential but it makes life easier. costs equivilant of
$96 here, but think how popular you'll be with your looper pals. who say's
you can't buy friends?

change all oil seals while you're at it.

if it all seems too much. mark's sounds a good deal.

Read my alignment technique on Dave's web site. Piece of cake...did it
right
the first time with no problems.

Easy job to replace the clutch plates....cost you $50 instead of
$700...which is high.

it is do-able by anyone but does require some fiddling even with
the factory
tools to get the sucker aligned right without wrecking the intermediate
plate.

where you at? anyone nearby willing to show Jason how?

My bike is sound except I believe the clutch has gone out -
should I tackle
this project myself or take it in and have it done? I am a shad tree
mechanic at best. What level of expertise is required? I have been
quoted

 $700 is that reasonable?
