I like fat tires on a Loop to go along with the fat sheet metal. I think
it
looks cool. But are fat tires OK, that is are they stock? And, do they
allow the bike to handle well on the road? Just wondering as I am

Jim,

I'll throw my 2cents in here. On my 71 I run Avon Roadrunners. 110/90

the

front, 120/90 on the rear. The 120 is a little tight getting past
everything(easier w/the rr fender off). The 110 on the rr always

looked

puny

to me. I never liked Avon's until a good friend that works for a

Harley

dealer swore by them. They are alittle pricey, about $100 for the

front

and

$120 for the rr, but he got me a great deal on 'em. The tires have

been

the bike for about 3-4 years(with on season of sitting for a resto)

and

have

held up just great.
I ran a rr Cheng-shin on a Yamaha in AZ. It seemed to wear really

fast,

but

I guess for the price you can't beat 'em, just my experience with 'em.

just wish I could find a white wall with Avon.
