I've had the problem also. Solved it buy adjusting the cable. If that don't
do it your cable's probably shot.

Anybody else have problems with the cable ball end popping out of the
holder on the end of the throttle chain? I squeezed the socket a tad
tighter a few weeks ago but it popped out again last night.
