You said it right.....there is no mistake in buying a Guzzi...especially a Loopframe....just that some prices are better than others :-)
I was lucky.....I got in 4-5 years ago and I picked up a couple of nice bikes for relatively cheap (to today's prices). However, I have had to go through the teething process. I have paid too much for parts and have had questionable service done. But it was all worth it......the price to pay for the pleasure I suppose.
The other day I was at the Montreal Auto Show and there was a $5 million dollar Bugatti. Funny but I had this vision of my bike sitting behind a rope one day with a security guard watching over her :-) Maybe it won't be as valuable but certianly as beautiful :-)

Ian,
Peter makes a good point though......with a newbie (read: moron) like myself, there is a price of admission to the Loopframe world which I am glad to pay. I have thought about Moto Guzzi's for 30 years and never acted on getting one. Why? I haven't figured it out yet. But, on the verge of my 50th B-Day, I finally decided to quit thinking about it and just do it. Maybe because my time is limited and these (loopframes) have always had a hold on me. If I get screwed on this deal, well so be it. But from all aspects so far, this seems to be the right decision. Hell, has anyone made a bad decision buying a Loopframe....HA! I don't think so......
