Yep this helped. I see I have 2 reserve petcocks.
I will have to do some creative modifying to 1 of them.
Tank was bone dry.

The other should have screening all the way down. This one is your reserve tube. Sounds like ya have 2 of them...although 4 miles is an extremely tiny reserve. Check to make sure that your filters or petcocks are not clogged in any way. Could you still hear gas sloshing in the tank when ya ran out? If so, I'd say a petcock or filter is clogged, and at lower levels, gravity is not enough to get the gas through. Hope this helps! Chris in NC '74 Eldo civ.
