Green with a black frame. The rattle can calls it Forest Green. Of course
after I had worked my ass off sanding painting sanding rinse repeat...I
discover a coworker's dad is a retired body and fender shop owner. He still
has a shop that he just does occasional work in. H offered to paint the
bike....oh well. this winter maybe.
The charging system is still giving me fits. I swapped in another Marelli
generator - zip. I sanded all the connections on the regulator - nada. I
swapped in another voltage regulator (may not be marelli compatible) - kaka.
So I'm down to finding out who the local generator wizard is.

At 6:30 PM the Ambassador fired up for the first time in god knows how many years and after 8 months of my working on it. I was giddy. Bouncing off the walls. I kept firing it up and giggling. I did go and exchange the 140 cca battery for a 275. The biggest they had. The second coat of green is on the tank. All that's left is some cleaning up. and a license plate. and some tires. and the charging system doesn't work. I think that is due to too much resistance in the ground wire. Where does that usuallu attac on the frame of the bike? ALso, if anyone has a quick, in the bike, with the cover on test to run on the generator, let me know. Still, I'm jazzed as hell. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer athttp://explorer.msn.com ============================================================ Maximize your email efficiency with My Topica.
