Its sad that the Chinese have gotten such a bad rap about the cheapness of their products. Yes, a lot of them suck badly, but a lot of the stuff is pretty good. Considering that they invented (discovered)modern timekeeping methods, modern medicine, metallurgy, scientific discovery methods, philosophic argument and observation, gunpowder, fireworks, firearms, and a whole boatload of other things 1,000 years before any other civilization did diddleysquat, I'd think they'd have fared a whole lot better than they did. Then again, the modern Chinese civilization is a hell of a lot removed from their ancestors. Wish they hadn't screwed it all up as they did. Hope no one was offended by this...just my observation. Read "The Tao of Pooh" for more enlightenment if ya wish...bestphilosophy book ever, and quite entertaining too. IMHO Chris in NC '74 Eldo civ.

OK Tim I'll come out of the closet too. I also got the chicken skins from Whitney. So far only 20 miles on them, so I cant really report any history. Glad to hear your report. I read somewhere else a while ago the Chen Shins were a good tire. Thats why I tried them. Pete 71 Ambo

At the risk of getting bashed again for my use of them, I run the K-70 replica from Cheng shin, purchased from JCWhitney. It is a sturdy 6 ply tire, and has never failed me in any way on my Ambo.
