Ray.. in some ways, the more difficult they are to operate...foot
clutch, jockey shift, etc.. the cooler they are. Also it's more
rewarding to me, for instance, shifting smoothly through on the Eldo,
with perhaps a little finesse required (probably a lot of finesse on
that Chief!).... than the effortless shifting on a late model Honda.
