I haven't had the same experience but, I did have a pressure gage in an old
Chevy years ago and I did see a big drop in pressure at idle after running
pretty hard.
Seems the heat will lower the viscosity and then that plus the low rpm will
give you a low pressure reading.
I'd say if you fire it up next time and the light goes out as normal you are
OK.

I'm not sure why the light would go on if it was hot. Question. Would the idle light go off when you raise the rpm of the bike slightly...as like the generator light would come on a low rpm and then go off as you raised the rpm? If I was you I would check this out before going too much further. My bet |
