If you think its condensor related, I'd try the old one again, new ones
have been known to be 'born funny'. I know this has been covered, but
you're sure the enricheners are cutting off properly? For instance,
slack in the cables and decent rubber/springs in the carb?

I changed the condensor and loosened the gas cap. The coil is new, but
that doesn't mean it isn't bad I guess. Would the coil work until the
motor warmed up though? Do the sparkplugs require more spark in a warm
engine?

ata-------------------------------------------------------------------Hi
all. I am still troubleshooting my eldo, but haven't done anything in a
while due to lack of time, but I just realized what is happening. Before
I was thinking it was timing related, but I messed with it again today
and here it is:

When I first start it and the bike is cool it runs great. After 3 or 4
minutes once the bike reaches operating temperature it begins to sputter
and miss. This mostly happens on acceleration, but the bike will idle
fine. If I kill it and let it sit for 5 minutes, it will run smoothly
again for a short time until it heats back up, then the ame thing. This
happens whether the enrichener is applied or not (if it is on and the
bike is warm, it just makes things worse).

I have adjusted the valves several times in accordance with the chiltons
manual and have seen no change.

Any new suggestions?

Ted Ward
