There is a snap ring in there....at least mine has one. Once that is out I
think you can take a socket and tap it out from the other side.
At least this is what I did and it seemed to work. I guess if it can't be
removed easily you can whack it out and if you have damaged the carrier
bearing they aren't that expensive to replace.

Subject: carrier bearing
I'm taking apart the swingarm of my '69 Ambo, having trouble getting the U-joint carrier bearing out of the swingarm housing. I know it's an interference fit. I've tried heating the housing, cooling the bearing and it doesn't budge. The last one I did fell out by itself. This one's got me going 'Hmmmm?... Does anyone have a favorite trick for this?
