John,
Check out Dave's websitehttp://www.loopframe.com/ for the wiring diagram
he has on there. I used that and a bit of my own thinking added in to make
my own harness.

I think I would be a little upset as well if I paid the price for a
complete restoration. I can identify with some of the electrical problems
but I am riding an unrestored eldo with just under 148,000 miles on the
odometer from which I put 122,000 on myself. I replaced my Bosch with a
Valeo at around 99,000 and have had to replace 2 relays and a couple of
light bulbs, what a gip!!! ( Just kidding). I now have a new wiring harness
but would like advice on the oversimplification process Dave spoke of since
I have proof that electricity ain't my business. I think the problem eldo
is not the norm and I would hope that the folks that restored it would work
with you on this to mitigate whatever the problem is. I know several folks
interested in finding an old eldo but I don't know anyone that would like to
release any R-series Beemers at present.
I will keep my eyes open.
Good luck:
John S. in NC 73.5 Eldo Civ.
