I apprecieate the help Richard. I'already looked at it. I have a '72 /5 and
a couple more in peices. The cable barrel wont fit in the brake lever or
through the adjusting barrel, which is not slotted.
I did order some control set form JC Whitless to see if it could be drilled
and talled to take the BMW switch or similar.

Apparently the front brake switch/cable combo is NLA? From what I understand Barnett isn't even making a kit anymore. And even if I were to find one that wasn't used or already shelf-aged for 30 odd years, what would I do when they finally ARE unobtanium? So I'm trying to figure a way to get a brake light switch onto the front controls. SO far I have only come up with using 70's BMW gear but that's not as easy to find and I have to use the crap throttle and figure out how to adapt the brake cable....etc etc. How does it work on a old brit bike? I know there is after market crap for those things and maybe one of those has a control mounted switch..... >> Hi Choppa Man - I am not sure that I can absolutley help you - however here are two points I can help you find a brake light switch from a BMW front drum brake - up thru slash 5& slash6 ( the models of the seventies that still used drums) . I am not really sure that they are hard to find . But I am also not sure they would fit what you are doing as they go into the control assembly( control includes the throttle cables in the handlebar unit) - in any event I would be happy to try to find out availability and price. I also have aftermarket brake light switch units - which have been used easily for the rear brakes - perhaps they can be used somehow for you - if you wish I can send you an off loopframe email with the pictures of them . Hope this might help Thank you Richard ============================================================ Searching for "a clean, well-organized place" for email?
