That could very well be, How about some of the grease that they sell to coat the ends of sparks bedore you snap the plug cap back on? Mybe that will conduct electricity. Greg

Dielectric grease does NOT conduct electricity. It's usually or always
a silicone based grease, with a high dielectric and very low wetting (to
prevent moisture/oxidation).
