If the plug over the top (12 o'clock position) nut (the one that you tightened with the 10mm allen wrench) isn't tight or the crush washer doesn't seal well, oil will run down a "tunnel" cast into the head and drip out just where you describe. With the tank in place it's kind of hard to get a good look at it, you could probably hold a mirror between the tank and cylinder head to look down on/into it. Or just pull the valve cover and use a little sealer (such as Permatex 300) on the crush washer and plug threads then reinstall snugly (there's probably a torque figure on Greg's site).
