Hi Hans,
It's unlikely that you'll find any other numbers (that are serial nos.)
on the frame. Those on the tag and engine are the numbers that should be
on your title and registration. Check with your local DMV (or whatever
they call them in your locale) on how to get the title corrected. I had
the same problem with a Cagiva once - all it took was a trip to the
State Police for verification and then a corrected title was issued.
Hope it's that simple for you too! Cheers,

Here's a bit of info. I checked again with a flashlight, and the numbers on the steering head plate are 5 digits, 60420. The number on the engine block is 60420VP. This doesn't match my registration, and I think I may have trouble getting the bike registered. On my BMW, the frame number is stamped on the steering head, as the plate can be changed easily. I looked, but could not find any stamped-on numbers on the Eldo. Where should I be looking? Hans 1972 Eldorado |
