Hate to be the one to state the obvious but sometimes we need reminding and this is a great teaching moment. Do what you can when assembling, to prevent these things from happening. Make sure every thread, external and internal are clean and straight. Invest in a good set of taps and dies. Lubricate where applicable, grease, anti-sleeze, whatever, something. Believe me, I'm reminding myself here. Have bunged up two bolts and one hole during the on-going, never-ending Eldo rebuild. One of them gave me the excuse I needed to install studs for the generator bracket, so that was a good thing. Ray
