When I give estimates, I make sure to emphasize that it is just that.
There's no flat-rate manual for working on thirty-year-old Guzzis. It
takes what it takes. If they can't live with that, I encourage them to
take their bike elsewhere or do it themselves. Still, after all that,
sometimes they get pissed anyway. Que sera . . .
