Unfortunately I didn't think of that when I was dealing with this before. I
should have done this when I realized that the grabbiness increased as the
engine became warm. I'll definately try it once I have it out.

Received the new intermediate plate and clutch plates today from Gordon and
Rick. What struck me was how thin the material appeared to be until it met
up with the rivet heads. I wonder if that might be the problem. From what I
remember the Sure Flex plate friction material looks thicker....I will have
to compare.

By the way...I would have to think that the material is riveted and bonded.
Should be double strong...no?

Ian,
Can you put the intermediate plate into the oven to heat it up and check
for warping when hot?

As for my clutch plates going bad so early- I imagine it was just a
fluke. I am a victim of statistics. <grin>
