I don't know whether one cylinder is ahead of the other or not. As far I I
can tell, you pick up one of the header pipes (doesn't matter which one) and
use it. The one you don't use is the one that is left. Beauty of this
method is that it is repeatable. Works the same way every time, and I don't
even need to check the bike.
