Hi All,
I rode 230 wonderful miles today with my knees behind the cylinders and
still can't tell you without looking!

Frank, a co-worker, recently purchased his first bike ( a Kawasaki 500R
Ninja) and needed to get some riding experience in before he takes his test.
So we decided today was too nice of a day (sunny with high temp around 62)
to not ride. For someone who hasn't ridden on the street at all and very
little off road, he did extremely well. We kept up a good pace over some of
my favorite roads in the four-state area. He commented that the Ambo was
quicker and handled better than he expected "an old man's bike" to. As
always, the old '69 surprises the uninitiated and delights me! It's no
sportbike, but it's still very entertaining to ride in the twisties.

Hope everyone had a good turkey day and got to enjoy today as well. Cheers,

Charlie

Rick,

The cylinders are offset. One cylinder is slightly more forward than the
other to account for the con rods being beside each other on the crank.
I'm
not sure which cylinder is more forward...I guess I could go into the
garage
and look but I am too lazy. Someone will have the answer :-)

I am assuming that the longer header goes on the most forwards cylinder.

Ciao...Ian

One of my exhaust headers is longer than the other. Is there a reason for
this? Which is lefet, Which is right? Thanks Rick Woods
