Umm it's not baking soda. similar but it is specifically for blasting.

It would be fairly mild and soluble in water. Just don't load up your blast cabinet in humid weather : ). I've used soda and elbo grease before; that does work pretty well. So far, I've been cleaning out the combustion chamber with a brass brush. Slllooooowwww. But it sure looks pretty when finished. I thought a blast cabinet might speed it up. My machinist here said that a light cleaning on the mating surfaces would actually help the gaskets seat. Hmmm Well, the little window I'm typing in is freaking out so I better post now.
