Do I ever,
Was one of the first times I realized what great bikes these are. Not
because they run trouble free all the time but because the problem was
easily fixable and didn't strand us on the side of the road (well...at least
not for long).
While were here on the subject. I also use tractor batteries and have had no
reason to go to something heavier. One thing that I have noticed here in the
Great White Republic is that all the tractor batteries (at least the ones
that are sold at Wally Mart and other discount type stores) have the
polarities of the batteries only on one side now...which happens to be the
opposite to what I would like. Are you folks down south seeing the same
thing? I know that I could turn the battery around and get the positive on
the correct side but it still wouldn't be the best solution.
Just curious....Ian
They take a lot of abuse, are cheap and easily available. They have never
failed me in a loopframe except the time I had a shorted out generator (dumb
mistake) and rode to the Nationals on the battery with all the lights on and
the spotlights for a couple of hours before it ran out of juice. Remember
that Ian?
