That's pretty much what I was referring to, except use some good goop
instead of a half dozen bolts.

I tried JB Weld on mine and it just broke off again. Needs more
reinforcement. The fiberglass should work ok tho'

Noel,
I have not had this happen to me (yet), but if(when) it does I think I
would
try JB Weld. I have not had very successful results with the stuff but
what
 
 the hell, worth a shot if it would save your paint. Plus you could hide
most
of the ugly stuff on the inside.

Hail fellow Loopers,

Sadly, both of the mounting hooks on the bottom of my left side
cover
 
 have
snapped off. What is the best way to fix this? Is there a way to do
this
 
 with out ruining the paintjob? I'll braise if I must, but I'm looking
to
 
 share your experiences. By the way, the riding weather in Washington,
DC
is
 
 primo. Too bad I have to work...
