That post is NOT centered in the adjuster bolt, it is an offset cam. By
rotating the bolt, you relocate the relative centering position of the
shifter pawl system. If all you did was change the spring, you should not
have messed with the bolt. If you did turn it, then you need to fine tune
it. Work the transmission and feel where the shifter clicks into each
position. It SHOULD throw about the same distance up and down before
clicking into gear. If it goes more one way than the other, then adjust
this bolt.
