Oh yeh, It shifted good before I replaced the spring. I don't see much that could go wrong with the opperation. So I'm Stumpped.

Were you drinking malt beverages trying to fit into Dave's shirt while you were wrenching? Usually an adjuster is used for adjusting (note smartass sarcastic comment. Sorry).
