Right off the bat sounds like the linkage needs adjustment
in one direction or another. Move the adjuster in one direction or another
and write down which way you moved it. If it improves, fine tune it in that
direction. If it gets worse go back the other way past where it was when you
started.
It may take a couple of tries but you'll get it eventually.

No melt beverages yet.
It seems to up shift too late,( shifter goes too far down). Doesn't
want
to downshift at all.
Cluth works good
Shift lever returns great.
