Sorry to hear you didn't solve your problem with the coil.....at least you
have a spare now :-)
It might be that you and I have the same problem with our bikes. My Ambo2
(with new engine) seems to have trouble holding an idle as well. I wonder if
the heat causes some additional tighness in the new engine? Does your engine
die slowly or quickly cut off? Can you revive it with a little choke or a
twist of the throttle or does it die regardless? How does it come off of
idle and does it hold a higher rpm ok?
I would check for air leaks around the top of the carb and around the
manifolds. Recheck your valve clearances.
Let me know what you find out...I will do the same.

Hello loopers, I replaced the coil in my 69 Ambo, and the bikes runs great but still |
when hot. Seems to be only when its idling. Now I am suspecting the carbs. Maybe the heads need to be retorqued? Scott |
