Hi Helge,
Yes, T3 heads can be used on the loops...here is what changes - and
doesn't - to the best of my knowledge (someone will correct me if I'm
out of bounds):
1. valves are the same
2. valve covers are interchangeable
3. intake port is the same - I believe you can just bolt the intake
manifolds on
4. exhaust port is different - uses 2 studs and a clamp to hold the
header pipe on. I believe someone on the list described taking the
standard loopframe header pipe, cutting off the end just before the
flange, fitting a small spacer to the flange, and then bolting it on
with the T3 studs/clamp.
Personally, this is a mod that I would like to make - someday - to my
Ambo. I see the exhaust nut as a weak point on the loops (My Opinion)
and the T3 cylinder head is a great way to fix it.

Hi there! Does anyone know if cylinderheads from a T3 can be used on a ambo (or V7 Special) ?? I can't find anything in Guzziology about this, other than the valve dimensions and chamber are the same. Thanks H. Christensen |
