| Bob.. I thought about it.. even bought the shorter (or is that lighter?)
springs for my dellortos... but decided against it. 1st... because Dave Otis mentioned something about being a "pussy" (in jest), 2nd.. because I tried out one of those cheap throttle rockers.. which for me, made all
the difference. Bill

| Throttle is a bear to twist, relatively speaking on my Eldo. I have the type with dual cables all the way down to the Amals. The cables are new and I have smeared litium grease all inside the throttle area. My thought is the return springs are stiffer than needed. When I broke a throttle cable last year, twisting the throttle all of a sudden was a piece of cake, only one carb spring moving. When reassembling the carbs after rebuild, there seems to be a lot of spring in the top of the carb.
Pros or cons to cutting off a round or two or three from the return spring? As you rotate the throttle you can feel the resistance build up rapidly, really puts a major strain on the wrist, I also have the police
style bars.
Thanks for any and all comments.
