The absolute best solution is to get a Twist-Assist, an old accessory
from the '70s that consisits of a counterspring that slides inside the
handlebar and a locknut mechanism to preload the throttle.
If asked the guy in Portland that used to make them will still make
them to order, or at least he would several years ago when I bought
mine.

The biggest problem I see on our cable system is at the carb. The cable comes in the top straight, but has to be bent to go up under the tank. I really think there sure be a bend in the end to lessen up the pressure on the cables. I'm waiting to here back from Dave Washburn on his success with the new angle adapters he is using before I also go that route. The throttle rocker is a great thing. When on a long ride I can just rest my palm on it to keep the gas on. I broke my right wrist many years ago and it would go into spasms on a long ride till I put on the throttle rocker. I even put one on the left side also just for a place to relax my other hand on. I thought about it.. even bought the shorter (or is that lighter?) springs for my dellortos... but decided against it. 1st... because Dave Otis mentioned something about being a "pussy" (in jest), 2nd.. because I tried out one of those cheap throttle rockers.. which for me, made all the difference.
