Hi Mike,
The seat was rebuilt of parts from two different seats and covered with
one of the nice German-made repro covers bought off eBay. The base is
from the '69's original seat, the foam from one off eBay. Think the seat
off eBay may have been from a late Eldo - they're a bit differently
shaped (more pronounced ridge between rider and passenger sections and
maybe a bit flatter also). In any case it's quite firm, but comfy. On
the MD/DC Spring Ride today, I didn't get the usual 150 mile numbbutt.
Towards the end of our 200 mile route, I only felt a bit "burn"
starting. The trip to the National will be the test though. Cheers,

Charley, where did you get Sophia's seat? I've seen seats like that before, but this is the first time I really like the look. For some reason it looks good on her. (I have a friend named Sophia: she just defended her doctoral dissertation in religion and is beginning a master's in computer modeling. She's tough but pretty, just like your Sophia.) |
