With mine, I just needed to spray a little WD40 into the throttle where the
cable hooks to the throttle chain. Made very snappy in about 2 seconds.

I had my first riders safety course last night. Wanted to get my confidence
up before setting out with my bike. I might have a bunch of questions
coming from this class. Only two of us in the class have 70's vintage
bikes. Everyone else has a 2002-2005 crotch rocket or Harley. Depending on
age. Go figure.
Any way. Told to check to throttle before heading out. Sounds like good
advice. Said it is supposed to snap back when released. Got home checked
mine and no way does it snap back. It pretty much stays where I put it.
Checked both my owners manual (handy little book) and Guzziology but did
not see anything about adjustment. So my question is, does it not snap back
because that is an nuance of this 30+ year old bike, it never did, or is
there a way to adjust it?
