More controlled damping. They will be very stiff for a few hundred miles, and then they break in and damp very well.
To fit them to your bike requires a pair of drum-brake fork caps and some work with a drill press, tap, and files, or a little machinist's time.

Greg,
Me again.
Im flying Milano trips all month of May. I can get upt to mandello for tsome parts. I just emailed peter at Ago's to see what they can line up.
The FACs seem pretty pricy here in the US of A, what are the advantages.

They do go bad.
Squeeze the front brake and push down with force on the bars. Do the forks resist or collapse like a house of cards?
Or, if you have them in hand, push and pull on the rods. Do they go in and out through the stroke with even resistance?
Replace with the longer G5 dampers and springs. Or, with a little work you can put in FACs.
