I have them in hand and was putting the forks back together when I remembered I had not checked the dampners.
Guess I can pull them back out of the lower legs and check.

Or, if you have them in hand, push and pull on the rods. Do they go in and out through the stroke with even resistance?
Replace with the longer G5 dampers and springs. Or, with a little work you can put in FACs.
