Tom,
Have you been inside the tranny lately? The neutral switch is nothing
more than a metal tab with a bend on the tip that comes in contact with
a nub on the shift drum when neutral is selected. Could be this tab is
bent way to far. Pull the switch out and check the tab. As for the gen
light, I would look at the wiring from the new alternator focusing on
the light section and checking connectors and continuity.

Ground fault? All other dash lights, handlebar controls, signals, brake lights, work as normal. Something common here? I can't see anything obvious, bike runs fine, no spitzen & sparken.
