Hi Gunnar,
Here is the biggest you can go and still use the stock hold down
bracket:
5 7/16" wide
9 3/8" long
7 1/2" tall
Hope that helps...I had to kill one black widow spider (body as big as
my thumb) and attempted to kill one citrus spider (3 inch diameter - a
small one) during my 1 minute trip to the garage to take measurements. I
hate spiders...and Florida has bigguns. I'll have the heebie-jeebies all
night.
Last fall I went out to the Quota first thing in the morning to run to
the post office. Giant citrus spider sitting on my seat (5 inches
diameter - including legs). They aren't poisonous, but they are super
fast and have large bodies and thick legs - nasty. I tried to shoo him
off, but he hid in the recesses of the bike somewhere. I tried not to
think of him - hoping the 80 MPH wind would somehow fling him off.
Waiting at a stop light, I looked down on my right thigh to find him
creeping up on me. I flung him off with a gloved hand. Freeked me out
the rest of the way there and back. I hate spiders.
