Dear Hacksaw
If you are going to cut up your new header pipes you might as well use the
old ones.
If I remember this correctly A crossover close to the exhaust port will
increase flow (less back pressure) having the same effect as longer velocity
stacks. Theoretically giving you more low - mid range grunt.
The exact location and dimensions of the velocity stack and pipe could take
some trial and error. BUT the Del'Orto carbs have all sorts of
adjustablity.

I just got a new/old set of header pipes to replace my NASTY ones and
have no stock crossover.
My question is:
Would there be any 'benefit to' or 'problem from' having a crossover
welded into the header pipes across the front of the engine?
My thought is to use something just under the header pipe diameter.
Thanks,
Hacksaw
