I ran no crossover on my T-3 for 20+ years. I plan on running no crossovers
on the Eldo also

Well, and now I'm really curious. Has anyone on this list tried a system
without the crossover and NOT been able to make the bike run great? Or
even better, chime in if you have been successful in removing the
crossover from the equation.

Dear Hacksaw If you are going to cut up your new header pipes you might as well use the old ones. If I remember this correctly A crossover close to the exhaust port will increase flow (less back pressure) having the same effect as longer velocity stacks. Theoretically giving you more low - mid range grunt. The exact location and dimensions of the velocity stack and pipe could take some trial and error. BUT the Del'Orto carbs have all sorts of adjustablity. My question is: Would there be any 'benefit to' or 'problem from' having a crossover welded into the header pipes across the front of the engine? My thought is to use something just under the header pipe diameter.
