My old sport cafe racer had did not have a cross over on the aftermarket
exhaust. I picked up a BUB exhaust setup from a Lemans 1. It had a cross
over in the front above the alternator. After I installed it I did notice a
few things. It was quitter, It idled smoother, and It had a little better
off the line acceleration. As for a Loop, I do not think there is enough
benefit to worry about under normal riding conditions. just my 2 cents
