I had my '70 Ambassaor up to 100 by its speedometer.
The bike had sportster saddlebags,Dunstall's and around 5000 miles on it
and was less then 3mos. old. It was $1725. off the floor.

When I worked at a shop while going to school. (1976-1980) I got a naked
Ambo up to 105. I also weighed 150lbs. The Ambo had Dunstall mufflers on
it. Yeah Baby.

For whatever reason, I'm bound and determined to get my stock Ambo up to
100 MPH. I've got a Sigma Sport speedometer that is very accurate and
records my maximum speed obtained. Coming across the Gandy Bridge the
other morning I had her pegged nearly the whole way. She got up to 95
MPH and held there, but no further. I'm going to take off my fairing and
give it another go one of these days. How fast have you taken your stock
Ambassador (750, 4-speed, 8-35 rear end)?
