It takes a special anode and jig to throw to the interior of/between the
spring for both nickel (unless you can find a plater with electroless
nickel) and chrome. Most platers won't do this unless they do it often
enough to make back the cost of the anode and jig, or you buy them for
them. You're better off buying new.

Andy,
There's a guy in Jeannette, PA who Lynn Crowley and I use. He's
expensive
as heck, as most good platers are. Being good, and the cost of chemical
disposal, has caused chroming to skyrocket in the past few years.

I would heed Mark E's advice and buy new chromed springs if you can
get'em
from him. I'd bet the cost of rechroming springs will easily be as much
or
more as buying new.
