Ted,
I found the marks on my flywheel and pressure plate for aligning springs just by accident when re-assembling, I took pictures and made my own marks before dis-assembly and used those when re-assembling. I used the method described recently on this site by Bruce Giller to install the new clutch using my own trans input hub, an engine mounting bolt, engine mount spacers, and vise-grip. installation was super smooth, and went so easy it scared me after all the warnings about everything that could go wrong. I had my engine completely out and on it's nose when I did it so there wasn't the problem with gravity moving the springs out of alignment. It pulls smooth and works fine. Now if I could only get the engine running better. Good luck and don't get frustrated, it's more practice for you and the best riding weather is still a few months off.
Steve

You can RTV the springs into their pockets on the flywheel. Makes it easy to install the clutch...Ian
