Ooops. Sorry. Yes, the harder pull is a new symptom for discussion and
would be a symptom of mis-aligned springs. There are spring recesses in
the flywheel and duplicate spring recesses in the back of the pressure
plate. Obviously, those have to be co-linear in some way for the
springs to work properly. Guzzi arranged for aligment by putting a
dimple in one tooth of the pressure plate and two teeth of the flywheel
(or is it the other way round). Anyway, it will be obvious once you
know to look at it. Since you may have had it assembled and operated
incorrectly, I would spend serious time verifying the flatness of the
intermediate plate and measuring the relaxed and compressed length of
the springs. Or, to be really happy, just buy a new plate and springs.
Heck, it isn't my money.
